Peace Advocacy and Voluntary Organisers Association(PAVOA)

Peace Advocacy and Voluntary Organisers Association(PAVOA), is a local NGO, formed since in 1994,and has been using local and traditional songs, drama, talks and lectures as some of its peace initiative programmes. PAVOA uses Traditional Music, Dance and Drumming as platforms for recruitment and advocacy. It normally uses palaces of Chiefs to stage its performances. It has far performed in One Hundred villages in the Bolgatanga Municipality in the Upper East Region of Ghana.

MAIN OBJECTIVES: Peace promotion,Empowerment of women, Youth and the under privileged, Rural infrastructural and educational development, Uplift of African culture, Poverty reduction through vibrant income generating activities,and conservation of natural resources.

MOTTO: Unity of Diversity and Human Interdependence.

VISION: To form an organization which should be unique in its appearance and globally acclaimed for its selfless devotion to humanity and whose members are voluntarily and totally prepared to dedicate their time, energy, money and wisdom towards an attainment of total love, peace, unity and development for mankind.

MISSION: To fight relentlessly against tribalism, ethnocentrism, chieftaincy and land disputes, religious and political conflicts which are obstacles to human existence and development.
